What are we working on?

We are supporting the excellent therapy clinics in Whatcom county by bridging the gap between what Medicaid reimburses for service and what it actually costs to provide care. By reducing this discrepancy in reimbursement, clinics will be able to expand their capacity to see patients with Medicaid and make accessing high quality services more equitable for all. We are an all volunteer organization that was founded by two Speech Language Pathologists who are frustrated with the constant battle to figure out ways to see clients with Medicaid while continuing to make ends meet.  We have a team of four dedicated board members volunteering their time, knowledge and resources to get this project off the ground. Catalyst Community is a brand new organization. About 25% of all donations will go toward our operating and development costs. 75% of donations will go to supporting community clinics and increasing access to healthcare for those with Medicaid.
